Deco X50-5G - Failed Firmware Update
Deco X50-5G - Failed Firmware Update
Hi
I have tried to update the firmware on my Deco X50-5G but I keep getting:
"Upgrade failed. Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade."
I have tried to update this through the App and through the web UI but still get the same messages.
The firmware I have attempted to use are the following versions.
X50-5G_2.0_en_1.0.0_Build_20240813_Rel.46287_EU_up_all
Deco X50-5G_1.20_1.1.4 Build 20240109
Can someone help me please, I am struggling to get stability out of the unit with the high CPU Usage.

The product itself isn't the problem, for me it's actually really good in the area I am in.
Downgrading and upgrading the firmware failed due to a faulty component confirmed by TP-Link UK R&D and Support teams.
I have had multiple remote sessions with them they have tried importing a new firmware by way of SSH, TFTP and other methods that haven't worked so luckily for me the unit is under warranty and has been rma'd.
Luckily some of the community solutions worked to some degree for me but then failed the firmware flash. The Deco lineup really isn't that bad just depends on what the use cases are, for me I am in a broadband deadspot so mobile data is my only option other brands like the Huawei 5G doesn't gain enough of a mobile signal to remain connect but Deco X50-5G has been stable on mobile data just remains a security risk being on an outdated firmware.

I respect your opinion about the product. For me is a product that gather som many questions, in this forum and on reddit, a sign of varning. I should have googled before I bought it. And I do not see T-link as a companion in problemsolving to make this product work, they should not let a product enter the market that does not work 100%. They, Tp-link also know that people in general do not use guarantees since it takes too long time and and they need a router during that time. I am not impressed by Tp-link. No hard feelings for the poor guy TP-David, he tries the best he can.
