Hi! I am trying to use the new "Preferred Connected AP" feature in AX55 latest firmware. This feature is verys useful because I noticed that easymesh nodes tend to connect directly to the main router in case an intermidiate node is not available. To make them use the intermediate node I have to reboot the end nodes. It's a pity because in this way we loose the advantage of the mesh network.

The new feature is present in conf, but when I set to "auto", it says "unidentified device".

Does anyone have any luck in using this feature? Does it work only with other AX53 mesh nodes?

In my case I have 1 main ax 55, 1 ax 18, 3 technicolor.

Thanks for any suggestion or help.

 Hi @sperla,

This function requires the satellite router to also support it. If your satellite router is Archer AX18, this model does not currently support this function.

@Joseph-TP many thanks! Does anyone know the list of routers that support this very useful feature?

Many thanks! In case I'll get another ax55.

Hi  @sperla,

There is no compatibility list yet. I will give feedback to the relevant personnel later and maybe update it later.

For your needs, adding another Archer AX55 is indeed the best solution at present.
