Model: Archer AX12
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Firmware Version: 1.1.22 Build 20240311 Rel. 73956(5553)

Hello, I purchased this Router a few days ago and I am already experiencing some problems with the stability of the connections since I have several devices and it is giving me serious problems, for example with a Samsung S22 Ultra that constantly loses the connection or from being connected to the 5.8ghz frequency in wifi6 mode it changes to the 2.4ghz frequency and works with wifi 5 standards, this being in Smart Connection mode but when I disable and separate the router networks so that they are two independent networks in that mode I manage to get the mobile device to maintain the connection at 5.8ghz and all the time in wifi6 but occasionally it loses the connection .... this being next to the router.

I recently had a better Archer AX55 router that worked perfectly at all times but I had to sell it and now I have gotten this entry-level one that should work well but at lower speeds since it can get up to 1200mbps at 5.8ghz that gives a very good stable speed of between 650 to 800 mbps, I have tried changing many options but I cannot get it to be stable. Do you have any suggestions or any other possible combination to make it work better?

Is there any new Firmware incoming soon ?

P.D: I am regretting buying this model and not a slightly better one. Maybe I can return it and buy a better one, but I think this small problem can be solved with some configuration in the advanced Wi-Fi settings or a new firmware update.

Greetings.

  @David_Blanco

Hi,

Your current firmware is already the latest one.

Will all devices have the same issue? You can change the channel or channel width on 5G and test again.

You can also enable a guest network to test as well.

If it only happens with certain devices, please also provide us the model number of them.

Besides, how many devices are connecting to the router at the same time?

  @David_Blanco Thank you for responding but I am already in the process of returning the router, at the moment I am using another device: HG8145X6-10 (Modem-Router) which achieves a stable and much superior connection of around 2200 to 2400mbps with wifi6 and 160mhz, the only devices I could test were a desktop computer connected by cable and two mobile devices, a Samsung S22 Ultra and an iPhone 15 Pro Max, both mobile devices support WIFI 6 and WIFI6E respectively, in both devices the loss of connection was noticeable, I tried different channels, manual or automatic options as well as Smart Connection and separating the channels, I come from using another router like the Archer AX55 from TP link and I know the settings well and I could not make them stable.

Hope that this issue can be resolved but for me now, the fastest solution was changing the Router.

Greetings.
