Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: lartest

Hi.

I woke up today to find there was no wifi at home. Started troubleshooting by connecting the rj45 cable that comes from the starlink network adapter directly to the PC, which worked ok. Then plugged that same cable to the WAN inlet on my router and the pc to one of the orange LAN ports. That worked fine too. The problem is any device trying to connect to the SSID of my wireless network fails to do so. The SSID is at zero signal even though I'm right beside the router. It is flagged as "low quality" and ultimately fails to connect. This is true for both 2,4 and 5 ghz SSIDs.

I tried resetting the router to its factory specs and doing the set up from scratch, which included the latest firmware update. Same result.

I noticed there's a low humming sound coming from the router, which im not sure was there before today.

The device was bought nearly 3 months ago.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Please check if you have recently added anything like mantel devices that may affect the signal,

Also, please check the transmit power and channel settings on the router.

And you can also disable the WIFI function and then enable it again via WIFI button.

If it still cannot help, please contact the local support to check the warranty for you.

  @Sunshine Hi!

Nothing new was introduced tommy home between last Sunday night when it was working well and monday morning. Besides I installed the router I was using before this one and the signal is fine

I'll look for the transmit power and channel settings, but can't remember seeing those, let alone change them.  About the wifi button... Where exactly is it in the archer ax55?

Thank you for your help. :)

  @Mariano_ARG

Transmit power is set to high on both 2.4 and 5 ghz bands. Channels were set to auto, but changed it to 1 for 2,4 and 149 for 5 ghz. Didn`t fiddle with the "mode" option.

No changes

Reverted all back to factory and tried turning wifi off (after 2 or 3 seconds the wifi lights went out) and turning them back on, again no success.

Then there's that low humming sound i don't remember listening before

I think I'll RMA the device unless someone has any other idea.

Thanks
