Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.5

Hi,

since the last firmware update, version 1.5.5 the connectivity of my smart devices at home (smart switches, light bulbs, shutters) is completely erratic.

The smart devices keep on losing connection/reconnecting. To be noted that they use the 2.4GHz band.

Before the firmware update I had zero issues with my network... but now is a mess.

I have turned off the beamforming, try several times to check for interferences on the channels, but nothing seems to fix the problem.

If I could at least rollback the FW!

Pedro

  @P-costa

Hi, welcome to the community.

Are all the smart home devices connected to the IOT network or the Main Network(2.4GHz band)?

- By the way, how many smart devices do you have?

Furthermore, are the satellite Deco X50 units wirelessly connected together?

It is also suggested to install the beta firmware here to see whether it helped with the current issue:

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP I am using currently the 1.5.5. In fact the problems started the moment I have update the FW to the 1.5.5.

I have roundabout 30 smart devices. Connected to the main 2.4GHz. The "smarter" devices like laptops and mobiles are connected to the 5GHz

so basically the 2.4GHz is only for the iot/smart devices

  @David-TP

so, no additional inputs?

I have reset the complete network. Added all the IoT devices into the IoT network... same problem.

Beam forming and UPnP on or off, same thing.

Forcing the devices to connect to the nearest Deco, same thing

Devices keep on losing connection.

So, all in all, my mesh system is worth nothing... as I am better off not having it at this point.

Better to move to the competition or something, as I am having 0 support.

I was doing some digging into the logs of the x50s and I see a bunch of recurrent errors… that my understanding have to do with the constant disconnect of the IoT devices. The errors are like this: Sun Nov 10 17:24:42 2024 daemon.err udhcpd[1057]: clear ip 4c44a8c0 Sun Nov 10 17:24:42 2024 daemon.err udhcpd[1057]: Sending OFFER of 192.168.68.76 Sun Nov 10 17:24:42 2024 daemon.err client_mgmt: wireless client associate or disassociate.
