I was just using my phone and all of the sudden the extender went off and I just chucked it up to it doing its normal restarts, but when about half an hour went by, it still wasn't showing up so I went to check it out and the power light was sometimes flashing and sometimes stable, all of the lights on it but the wifi light was flashing blue fro about a second before it just went back to only the power light blinking. 

I tried resetting it but the connecting button on it is unresponsive, it also makes a strange kind of high-pitched whining sound.
