Model: Deco X20-DSL   Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 20230714 Rel. 55539

I bought a new Deco X20-DSL (EU v1) to add to my existing Deco M5 (v3) network (as my new ISP doesn't provide a broadband router). Now that I've got it all set up, with the X20 as the 'main' unit, I can't set parental control bedtimes differently for weekdays and weekends. This is now a 'paid for' feature, despite the fact I have only one X20, and three M5s.

is there any way to get the full feature set that I paid for with the M5s back? Seems a bit sneaky to force you to pay for things again even after you give TP Link more money...

  @RichyS

Hi, is your new broadband router using DSL service?

Unlike Deco M5, Deco X20-DSL uses another Home Secuirty system---HomeShield.

If the new ISP requires a DSL modem and you also want to keep the original HomeCare on Deco M5, You could connect the first M5 via an Ethernet cable to Deco X20-DSL , then set a new Mesh system using Deco M5 units only.

How to Create a New Network in the Deco App

While if the new ISP doesn't need the DSL service, you could keep Deco M5 as the main Deco and the whole Mesh system will still use HomeCare.

Thank you very much and best regards.
