How to limit backhaul frequencies?

Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.7.1

My Deco M5 mesh interferes with a 3rd party local 2,4 GHz connection (not wi-fi).
Deco is set to use 'only 5 Ghz', and I have run the interference tool in the Deco app, but still creates intermittent noise in the 2,4 GHz band while Deco is switched on.

Can I limit the backhaul to not use the 2,4 GHz band?

Thanks

Jorgen

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know what is this "3rd party local 2,4 GHz connection (not wi-fi)"?

Are you able to connect Deco units via Ethernet cables?

Currently, the 2.4GHz wireless Backhaul can not be disabled.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP

Thank you David!

The 3rd party device is a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX1 digital TV consisting of a TV screen and media box connected through a wireless connection.

I was wrong about the bandwidth, according to the manual the TV uses OFDM wireless transmission on the 5.15 to 5.25 GHz range.

I have now changed the Deco to provide 2.4 GHz WLAN only, but the problem is still there.

So I should rephrase the question: Is it possible to disable the 5 GHz band in the Backhaul?

Unfortunately it is physically impossible to rearrange mesh routers or to connect them with Ethernet cables.

Any other ideas?

Many thanks

Jorgen
