Model: Archer AX55 Pro
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20230803 rel.35127

Hello, my WiFi network connection (not the Internet) is slow. I have Archer Ax55 Pro. The speed of 5Ghz is only around 700 Mbps. I measured it using the application WiFi - Internet Speed Test by Zoltán Pallagi on the Oculus Quest 2 device, which should handle up to 1200 Mbps. I created a separate SSID for the 5Ghz frequency. I have channel width set to 20/40/80/160MHZ and tried different channels. Nothing helped. Can you help me please?

Hello, do you mean the wireless link speed between the router and your client device, or wireless internet speed?

Please also check the wireless link speed on the client device itself: How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

If you mean wireless internet speed, please let us know the bandwidth you paid and also wired internet speed when connected to the AX55 Pro router via Ethernet cable.

  @Sunshine I mean wireless link between the router and client device. We're not talking about the Internet here at all. Sorry if I wrote it unclearly, English is not my native language.

  @Sunshine associated speed on a wireless client Is 1200 Mbps, but real speed is around 700Mbps.

  @kanapetr322

The associated speed on a wireless client is actually the wireless link rate between the router and wireless client.

  @QRene It is the highest possible speed, but not the real speed, which is always a little less. My problem is that it is too small.

Hi,

What sort of speed are you looking for? Have you got information from other Oculus users who achieved substantially more?

I don't have an Oculus, but 700 Mbps actual data throughput is similar to what I've got with other client devices that are rated at 1200 Mbps Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).

  @woozle Some games require even 1000Mbps to enjoy using Oculus. In this video https://youtu.be/_9OHR80ynJ8?si=1hzOMaLoF5XhCYxQ (7:10) where he tests almost the same as my router reached a speed of up to 900 Mbps. I don't see a reason why I couldn't reach a speed of more than 1000 when these devices support it and there are no other devices connected to the WiFi that would slow it down.

  @woozle I also remembered that the 700 is the upload and the download was only 400. Which seems strange to me.
