Hi all,

  • I am trying to configure the OpenVPN server in my secondary router TP-LINK Archer C5 AC 1200 v4.0

  • D-Link DIR-825ACG1 is my primary ISP  router.

  • I have forwarded the port-1194 and ip-192.168.0.175 (ip of the secondary tp-link router) to my primary ISP router.

  • But finally when I try to connect using OpenVPN Connect application, it fails to connect.

  • Also I have attached my client.ovpn file and my public ip for your reference.

Kindly check this and guide me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Tharun Ganapathi

  @TharunG

Are you able to connect the OpenVPN Server if you are within the LAN network of the Archer C5 router or in LAN network of your ISP Router?

Please also make sure the 192.168.0.175 is static IP address, or the port forwarding on your ISP router will not work when the C5 WAN IP address changes.
