Model: Archer AX55 Pro
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 20230306 rel.10273(4555)

I'm trying to update the firmware to enable Wireguard VPN (ax55v1-up-ver1-2-2-P1[20230511-rel51682]_sign_2023-05-11_16.02.15.bin and ax55v1-up-ver1-2-2-P1[20230511-rel51682]_sign_2023-05-11_16.02.15.bin).  Every time I try to upload the firmware I get an "Upload error."

I've tried with both Chrome and Firefire.  I've tried doing a factory reset as well to no avail.  Based on the firmware timestamps, I don't believe that I'm trying to update to an older version or downgrade (a problem other people have had.

On a side note, I ordered (and the box says) AX3000 but the device is reporting as an AX55 Pro v1.0

Thanks.

Hi,

The Archer AX55 Pro can only be upgraded with firmware that is specifically designed for the Archer AX55 Pro.

Therefore it will refuse to install a firmware version that's been made for the Archer AX55.

The "AX3000" on the box is just sort of a performance class indicator, to make it easier for potential customers to judge what kind of wireless performance they can expect from the router.
Actually, just today TP-Link launched another "AX3000" router, which should offer similar performance, but looks entirely different. Archer Air R5
