Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.015

After I replaced all Deco M9 Plus devices with X60 version 3 devices for my network I have got an issues with my Bang&Olufsen speakers connected to Wi-Fi.

The speakers connect fine to Wi-Fi. AirPlay is working and Internet Radio streaming is working, but the Bang&Olufsen Multiroom function  is not working. There is no sound. Multiroom is feature that allow to play the music on several speakers. The devices turn on but no sound. B&o says that the issue must be the Tp-link Deco X60 since it worked with the Deco M9 plus.

B&o uses unicast to stream music from one speaker to another speaker using some UDP ports I am told.

What can the issue on the X60s be? And why was it working with the M9 plus devices?

It works with speakers wired to LAN. It is only with speaker on the Deco x60 Wi-Fi and it only the Multiroom sound that is blocked.

@Ibg Hi, welcome to the community.

Would there be any error message when the Beolink Multi-room does not plan any sound?

And did you still keep Deco M9 plus?

"It works with speakers wired to LAN. It is only with the speaker on the Deco x60 Wi-Fi and it only the Multiroom sound that is blocked. "

---May I know how many Beosound speakers you have?

---Do you mean the Multi-room function mainly failed to work on wireless Beosound speakers?

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

  • Turn off "Mesh Technology" on the Deco APP for wireless speakers.
  • Disable "beamforming" and “fast roaming” on the Deco APP>More>Advanced.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

The M9 Plus are taken down, but I still have them.  I have 3 B&o devices on Wi-Fi and 2 on cabled LAN.

There is never any Multiroom sound on Wi-Fi connected speakers. The speaker or TV turns but no sound.

It is only Multiroom sound on Wi-Fi that is impacted. Airplay and radio streaming directly on a speaker works fine.

I do not know where to find error messages. On B&o I do not have access to log files.

I have not yet tried to turn off Mesh technology.
