My S20 FE always connect to 2.4G band even if the 5G signal is clearly strong when I activate both bands. I can not change wifi setting to 5G only because my IoT devices must use 2.4G band. I have tried Guest wifi solution but it is not successful.

Every solution is appreciated. Thank you.

 

I hope the SSID separating feature will be implemented soon

If your Deco mesh consists of M5s, follow the second part of this document to configure smartphone connect on 5GHz: How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

 

Before configuring Deco mesh, make sure your smartphone has "MAC address randomization" disabled. Should be "Use device MAC" under Privacy for Deco mesh SSID on smartphone.

  @Alexandre. Thank you very much, turning off "Randomize MAC" option works for me.
