Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210914 Rel.59719n

Hello,

I am having problems with wifi on my new Archer MR600 V2. There seems to be a consistent packet loss.

Screenshot 1 shows ping as ran from my laptop connected through wifi (2.4 GHz). I originally was connected on 5 GHz where I had those issues and for a while it seemed that by switching to 2.4 GHz and disabling 5 GHz solved the issue. But unfortunately I still have those issues.

Screenshot 2 shows ping requests ran at the same time to the router from my Raspberry PI that is connected through Ethernet. No loss there.

I tried disabling NAT Boost as suggested in a smiliar thread, but it didn't help. Any suggestions appreciated!

Update: I have sent 100 ping requests to the router from my Android phone connected through 2.4 GHz and have 0 packet loss. I have ran at the same time 100 ping requests from my laptop and have 9% packet loss again. There seems to be an issue with my laptop wifi, although I have not experienced it using my older Zyxel wifi router.

I have a Realtek 8821CE wifi.

Hi, so both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi have the ping loss issue on the laptop, right? may I know how far is it between your laptop and the router? and is the WiFi signal strong or not?

Besides, please try to change the WiFi channel and channel width on the router to see if the issue can be resolved, for example, for 2.4GHz WiFi, try channel 1, 6 or 11, and try channel width 20MHz.

@Sunshine Hello, the distance is about 5 meters across one wall (wooden frame with insulation, not bricks/concrete). Windows declares full signal in the statusbar.

The problem seems to be in the OS/driver though (Windows 11). I have followed a guide which suggested changing OneDrive settings in Local Group Policy and disabling Windows Update download from other PCs and managed to get rid of packet loss on 2.4 GHz (I cannot paste the link.)

The problem persists on 5GHz from my laptop. I will try to look more into the channels. I will also boot my laptop to Linux and see if the issues are the same there.
