Troubleshooting - Wifi connect problem, internet not stable sometimes.
Hi. I am from brazil and bought a Archer C5400 device with hardware version 2.
My device recently had internet speed problem, where i live i had a 500Mbps speed, and it only got 200Mbps... Just found a topic in here that i need to update the firmware, and it really worked, but after a week, i seen some problems. Already updated again with the same firmware to ensure was not corrupted (yes i downloaded again).
Problem:
- Wifi unstable, sometimes the device just disconnect himself and can't connect again.
- Internet unstable, the ping every 20 seconds may jump to 1000ms. Don't know if is Package Lost or QoS problem again...
My PC has a Rog Strix B550-E Gaming, should not be it the problem... Also isn't the cables because i use Cat.6 cables and connectors too, both "armored" to avoid magnetic field interference. Also already tested holding the cable away from the energy cable, still the same problem...
If you may ask about energy problems, well i have a Senoidal UPS with 2kva. I already tested in direct and using the UPS too. still the same problem.
Obs: Alwasys if i turn off the router and turn on again, everything come back to work. Don't know how much time it holds without problems, but the BUG/Problem always come back.

Hello @xDarkNox
Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.
Regarding the unstable connectivity issue when connecting to the Archer C5400 router, I would suggest going through the troubleshooting suggestions in the following thread, then report back if the issue persists:
Router Disconnects from Internet

I found it, i found it, finally.
When i actived IP & Mac Binding, i setup my two MACs (Ethernet and Wifi cards), to these local ip: 192.168.1.50 and 192.168.1.51, after that, my internet gone dead in 00:30:00, Everything, wasn't not only the wifi. Even the log gone crazy lol... Is a serious bug i think, because:
1 - DHCP not working, i tried to flush dns and even renew a new ip, but wasn't working.
2 - Using static ip, tried to access the router IP, wasn't working too.
3 - Log gone crazy, i saved the log and i can give it to the TP-Link support to help if you need it.
Please Kevin, let the tp-link team check the firmware... about that function, because is really a bad thing... trust me, only after i actived the mac ip bind, the router gone crazy. Was using for a week without problems, yesterday i tried to logon in tp-link cloud, but didn't work, and also actived the ip mac binding... finally found...
@ EDIT
I will wait for a firmware update. please kevin report that bug... T-T i loved this router, and i want to trust in TP-Link team, i even bought a Archer C6 to use as a access point with a tp-link switch to build my house network.

Please read the entire post before...
I will not change the DNS, because this ISN'T a DNS problem. Also, i will not change any MAC clone configuration because, if i do that, my ISP will block any type of connection. My router MAC is being used in PPoE autentication. So i can't do that don't ask that...
1. Who is your ISP? What's the model of the modem?
A: ITNET TELECOM
2. What is the WAN connection type on the TP-Link router?
A: PPoE with MAC bind.
3. Save and email the System Log on the router (System Tools > System Log). Don't reboot the router, if the internet doesn't recover automatically, please login to the router page, go to Advanced > Network > Internet, click on the Connect/Disconnect to recover the connection on the router.
A: What? I already posted the log here... Also, if you already read the log, my PPoE connection won't gone down. Even the LED don't change to orange.
I already have don't somethings, please read the post...
Update Settings:
I may report that i may have found a bug in firmware.
Here some configs that i have disabled and after that i don't had any "surprise no internet bug"...
- IPv6 protocol disabled
- DDNS with NO-IP disabled
Today i seen bugs about LED Controller log. I am disabling Night Mode today and will update here later.
For now i still didn't reboot my router and the internet is still stable... My ISP has support with IPv6.

Thank you very much for all the details, we appreciate that.
Regarding the issue and the settings you have changed, please assist confirm the below:
1. Please re-enable DDNS with NO-IP on the router, then monitor the connectivity.
2. If the internet and wireless are stable, then enable IPv6 on the router, and monitor the connectivity for some time. If the issue comes back, please go to computer adapter settings to confirm if there is still internet connectivity for both IPv4 and IPv6.
For Wi-Fi connection: select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi, right-click it and tap Status, you will see the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, please show us a screenshot.
For Ethernet connection: select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Ethernet, right-click it and tap Status, you will see the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, please show us a screenshot as well.

Just checked. The problem is still there, even with the configs that i said disabled... I was using my personal computer in the last midnight, and the problem happen...
Don't have any way to get what is the true cause to make this happen? Today morning i wake up with my parent disturbing me because the internet while they was WIFI 2.4Ghz wasn't working.
OBS: The devices (Alexa's and their cellphones) was all conected to the wifi network, but still wasn't to connect.
I CAN'T downgrade the firmware if i want to use my internet speed, than means the problem is the new firmware version, and this is happening because something specific related to the Archer C5400 V2.
Observation: If that problem happen again i will check the cable network, if it is still OK. If it works to access the internet using cable, than means something in the system related with the wifi control?
@EDIT
I am going to RESET everything and setup config per config.
1 - Reset
2 - Config internet config only and LAN ip change from 192.168.0.0/24 to 192.168.1.0/24.
3 - Config SSID and password with AES only in wifi config.
That way every device will can connect and use "normally", than i will start my checking and report here in forum, but please, if you have access, to check everything you can.
Today before reset i have configured in my router this:
WAN:
- Using PPoE config with MAC bind as said in past, PPoE user and password...
- No Fixed IP (My ISP don't work with fixed IP, only if i pay for it...)
- DNS config to get from ISP/setup manually (These IP i get from ISP to setup).
LAN:
- IP range isn't standard, configured to 192.168.1.0/24.
- DHCP range isn't the standard.
- DHCP DNS changed to 192.168.1.1 and 8.8.4.4 (Yes, i preffer to use the router dns server because the ISP has better DNS that make a good route to the internet, If it may fail, i put google dns to a secondary).
WIFI:
- Wifi 2.4Ghz and Wifi 5Ghz-1, are enable.
- Wifi 5 Ghz-2 is disable.
- Both are configured with same password but different SSID.
- Both is setup to use only AES.
- Both is setup with specific channel (yes i used a device to check the best channel for my wifi in my home).
- 2.4Ghz is setup with only 20Mhz.
- 5Ghz-1 is setup with 40 Mhz or 80Mhz (This config i don't remember)...
DDNS:
- using NO-IP, for now is disable.
VPN:
- OpenVPN, for now is disable.
IPv6 Config:
- Was using only for WAN, but for now is disable.
AutoLED Control:
- After log spam, maybe because a bug?, but for now is disable.
Devices configured to Wifi 2.4Ghz:
- Two, Echo Dot 3Gen
- Samsung Galaxy S8+ = My Smartphone
- Samsung Galaxy A52
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
- Samsung J5 Prime
- Samsung S7 Edge
- One, Intelbras IM4 cam
Devices configured to Wifi 5Ghz-1
- One Echo Show 8 1Gen
- Samsung Galaxy S8+ = My Smartphone
- Personal computer (Rog Strix B550-E Gaming) = My PC
Devices in Cable:
- Personal computer (Rog Strix B550-E Gaming)
- Another TP-Link Router in Access Point mode (Already tested without it to check if it was the source of the problem, but isn't it...)

More updates, after 1 week, no problems, still has some configs that i didn't have done, like select wifi channel. but the band i choose and didn't have problems for now.
I am still not using IPv6 too. TP-Link cloud config is not working for me... well for now i can use it, even if it has some bugs... hope next firmware update fix that... (About cloud).
For now, i didn't used the backup config, i am setup all configurations manually... config per config and checking if bugs may appear...
I am using ddns fine and VPN too. no problems with them.

Do you mean the issue comes back after you enabled IP & MAC binding for two local devices on the router? And will the issue disappear if you disable IP & MAC binding? We will also perform a test and we hope you could verify this on your side also, as we haven't heard this kind of feedback yet.
