Problems with buffering
Problems with buffering
I have a Sky Q modem - 2 LAN ports. One is connected to my Sky Q TV box, the other to my Archer C7.
I then have connected to my C7 - Samsung TV, Hive box, TP-LINK through the home wiring to my Synology DS220+ server.
The issue I am having is when I play video on my TV, streamed from the DS220+, using either Plex or another app, my video is buffering a lot. I know I am running it through a TP-Link, but I am still getting 40Mbps speed, so speed shouldn't be an issue.
Am I missing something (quite probable - I am not massively technically minded!)?
Any and all help is appreciated.

@terziyski it's a wireless range extender that also has an Ethernet port. Cable from C7 to the extender, then from the paired extender to the DS220+.
the home WiFi is a mesh.

What's the model of this TP-LInk RE ?
Can you connect your DS220+ directly to the C7 LAN port, TV to C7 wireless network and test again (bypassing the RE will give you a hint if there's a problem).
Also you may try different streaming app to exclude a possible app issue - try the TV native app (on a Smart TV).

@terziyski yeah that's my next test. It's in another room, but I can move it to test it. If that works I'll just have to feed a long Ethernet through the house I'm guessing.
