TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Ver 1.0
My two TP-LINK TL-PA8030P work well and the lights are turned on properly. I have a Asus router.
In the tpPLC_Utility_Windows V2.3.4137.4 Build 20210430 however the message "no device connected" appears.
How can I solve the problem?
Thank you

Hello @Hilander
Computer installed tpPLC Utility and the Power kine unit TL-PA8010P Kit should be under the same local network.
You could try some suggestions here if tpPLC Utility fails to find powerline units.
- Wire computer to one of TL-PA8010P via Ethernet cable.
- Turn off Windows firewall or Anti-virus software on the computer and see if the Utility could find your device or not.
- Turn off VPN software if there is any
- Try a different computer/ laptop
If still the same problem, may I know the what is the OS of your computer, the network topology e.g. Router <Ethernet> main router TL-PA8010P-<Ethernet> PC (tpPLC Utility)
Is there any smart switch/ extender in your topology, thank you.

@Solla-topee I connected the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P to my router with the ethernet cable. Then I connected a device to the other lan port of the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P. In the web interface of my asus router I found the IP address and MAC Address of the device connected to the lan port of the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P but I cannot find the IP address and MAC address of the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P instead . I know what is the MAC address of the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P because it is written under the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P and it starts with 60: E3: 27 ..... but as mentioned I don't see it in the web interface of the router. However, I am sure that the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P is under the same local network of my PC as the device connected to the other lan port of the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P. How do I find out the IP address my router gave the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P? Why can't I see it in my router's web interface? Thank you

Hey @Hilander
sorry for the late reply, I double check the wired PLC unit does not get an IP from router, it generates an IP according to PC's IP range, this should be the reason why it can't be found on router client list. You could try some other tips here:
1. Disconnect the cable between Router and main adapter, only connect PC- PA8030P and see tpPLC Utility could find it
2. May I know did you try the Untility published in July 1, 2021 ?

You may try this older version Utility for PA8030P and see if could find the device

I tried from another PC, ie from my Laptop, but PowerLine Utility can't see my PA8030P.
Then I tried to unplug the PA8030P from the router and connect it directly with the network cable to my laptop and so it is seen by PowerLine Utility.
However, I preferred it to be seen even when connected to the router.
Patience ... It will mean that if I need to update the firmware of the PA8030P I will disconnect it from the router and connect it with a network cable directly to my laptop.
I then installed older version Utility for PA8030P.
The old version also shows me the Mac address of the PA803P and the password that the new version does not show. Also, when I install the old version it asks me to also install WinPcap 4.1.3 while the new version doesn't ask me to install WinPcap 4.1.3
Thank you
