This creates two wi-fi zones

My BTHomeHub is not visible at one end of my house and hence I have installed the TP281 kit. I am able to get near perfect internet via wi-fi connection on the TP281 extender provided I use it with factory defaults. If I change the SSID and WPA2 security settings to match those of the BT Home Hub2 (and therefore present a larger wi-fi coverage of single name); connection to the 281 is impossible from my iOs devices (iOS ver 6.1.3). I did this so any mobile device could move seamlessly from one zone to another without the needto connect to the stronger zone en route .

Any ideas gladly received.
