Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version:

Hi! I recently switched to an iphone and ever since doing so, the connection keeps dropping on my TP Link Deco M5 and M9 system.

I have tried resetting modem, resetting network settings on phone and even forgetting network but it still keeps happening.

When I disconnect wifi from the phone and reconnect then it starts working. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

@josemikkel

Hi, may I know the model number and operating system of your iPhone?

Is iPhone the only device that dropped connection very often?

Please refer to the following to have a look:

  1. Turn off the Mesh technology of the iPhone on the Deco APP;
  2. Enable the guest network for 2.4ghz only and test whether iPhone could maintain a stable connection?

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link Hi! It's the iPhone 12 on latest software. All the decos are also on most up to date firmware and software

@josemikkel

Hi,  Did turning off the Mesh make any difference?

By the way, I noticed that you have 3*Deco M5 and 3*Deco M4, did all the 6 nodes work under the same Mesh network?

Later I might need to forward your case to the senior engineers and could you please help me collect the following information:

Could you please log into the web UI http://tplinkdeco.net and help me save the system log?

How often did the iPhone drop the connection?

Thank you very much.

@josemikkel

Hi, when you click the middle 'global' on the Deco App, you could check whether all of the Deco nodes are on this page;

At the same time, I have forwarded your case to the senior engineers, and please have a check of your email box.

Thank you.
