Firmware Version:

Model: Archer AX20

Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 20210521

I have been using the ArcherAX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router (Hardware Version Archer AX20 v1.20) as Access Point at my home. I have a 200 Mbps Fiber connection from Airtel. For first few days the router worked fine, but then it started to deliver slow speeds. The Ethernet status started to show Internet speed as 100Mbps in Access Point Mode. Factory reset would resolve the problem. But it happened every 3-4 hours.

I then changed the mode from Access Point to Router Mode. The speed was instantly restored to 1000Gbps. But after working for 3-4 hours the speed was reset to 10Mbps Full Duplex.

Again, I changed the mode back to Access Point and instantly the speed was again 1000Mbps

The cable that connects the modem and router is perfectly fine. I have attached the cable directly to one of my computers and it delivers consistent speed as per my ISP Connection Plan for full day.

Please guide, how can this problem be solved.

@ZakkIngram

When the speed drops to 100Mbps, how about the Negotiation Speed displayed on the router web GUI? Please send us a screenshot, thanks.

Meanwhile, have you choose 1000Mbps Full-Duplex under Advanced > System Tool > System Parameters? It's strongly suggested to try with a different cat 5e/6 cable, both the cables from the modem to the router and the cable from the router to the device need to be good. Cables do go bad especially if moved a lot, and you can see some customers resolved the issue by changing with new cables:

When did you buy the Archer AX20? Did the issue occur when you installed it, or it happens after working fine for months?
