I'm trying to connect my RE305 to my BT HUB2 router via a Ethernet cable via a switch to extend my upstairs. I've gone through setup and it just says unable to connect. 
I have connected my phone to the extender 1st  via the Tether app but still no luck. 
do I need to setup next to my router the move to new location and then hard wire?
