Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.4.0 0.9.1 v0070.0 Build 201104 Beta.38939n

I have recently began having issues with the 2.4GHz channel on my Archer VR400. I am getting speeds of <4Mbps sitting next to the router, while on 5GHz I am getting ~60Mbps. This seems like a very big difference, even taking into account that 2.4GHz is generally slower.

I have tried a firmware upgrade, reset and also had a visit from my internet service provider to check that everything is fine with the line. Nothing else has changed in my setup.

@bubnov

Hey

Being perfectly honest what you are stating doesnt come as any surprise, see this quite regularly.    2.4Ghz in todays world is totally saturated, while it claims speeds of upto 300 if you get 100 you are going well, more than enough I have seen this ~50mbps

5Ghz is sadly becoming more congested also, however isn't anywhere near as bad!   Most devices comfortably get greater than 500mbps

In short, the difference between the 2 frequencies is not a surprise..  I would start with changing channels (2.4ghz especially) and see if that improves.  Also what device you have connected?  how are you testing this speed?
