Can the Range Extender link up to Amazon Fire Stick, which is linked to a non-Smart TV in my bedroom? The signal on the Extender is very good but doesn't recognise any devices when I try to link up.

Did you try to say that the Amazon Fire stick could not detect the wireless signal of the TL-WA850RE?
Have you tried to change the wireless channel on the main router to have a look, such as channel 11 for 2.4ghz so that the channel on the 850RE would sync as well?
How about other mobile devices and would they be able to detect the wireless signal as well?
