Archer C5400 V2 Internet speeds dropping to 200MB/s
Archer C5400 V2 Internet speeds dropping to 200MB/s
I upgraded my internet from 400 - 940MB/s. I did the firmware updates to 1.2.5 and now after a day or so my speeds drop to 200MB/s max. Only way to restore the speed it reboot the router.
I have had this modem just over a year and replaced a AC1900 netgear.
My whole house uses WI-FI I have some 52 devices connected concurrently which is why i needed to move from the netgear. Most of them are lighting which connect to the 2.4ghz and I have 4 gaming PC's connected to the wired hub and then I run my 5 tvs all using Apple TV on the 5GHZ-1 and tablets and laptops running on 5GHZ - 2
Thanks for the help

Hi @Wheels and all,
If you have ever encountered any speed issue with the Archer C5400 V2, please ensure first you are already on the latest firmware version which can be found and downloaded from the TP-Link official website:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-c5400/#Firmware
If the speed is still not good as compared with that you can get from the ISP modem directly, log into the web interface of the C5400 and go to Advanced->QoS, manually set the speed to that you get from your ISP, and leave QoS on Standard, then reboot the router and confirm the speed again.
Let the community know if you still have inquiries, thanks a lot~

What is the actual speed you can get when it is working properly? Is there any QoS setting on the C5400? Try to disable it, then confirm. Or you may reset it to factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, then monitor again.
