Hi guys,

 

I've probably done something wrong when flashing a custom firmware for my Tplink RE450.

Now it starts as normally then after 20-30 seconds only POWER LED is on. Nevertheless, I can't connect to it and it's not visible via WiFi. Any ideas how to revert back to the original firmware?

Would a factory reset on the extender help or not?

If nothing happened, I am afraid the extender is broken.

@WinterX I had a similar issue on RE450 v3 and managed to restore the original firmware after using these steps.

 

At that link you can find also an uploaded copy for the image I've used to restore the firmware. Be ware that this is valid for RE450 v3 only. 

You can compile the stripping project and adjust your image as needed starting from the official firmware version.
