RE450 v3 no longer OneMesh
RE450 v3 no longer OneMesh
Wanted OneMesh and got... wasted money for nothing.
I used to have Archer C7 v2 and RE450 v1 and they were working fine. One day, I saw on the tplink site that beautiful big banner with OneMesh and reading about it, it made me to make the switch.
I chaecked the supported devices and saw that Archer A7 v5 and RE450 v3 (coming soon) show up among the listed devices.
So, I went to the store and bought the Archer A7 v5 and RE450 v3.
Yesterday, I went to the tplink website to check the news just to find that, RE450 v3 is no longer on the supported device list.
NOW, I ASK YOU TPLINK, IF YOU WERE IN MY SHOES, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL???
I am so dissapointed and angry right now that I will not continue anymore on this...
Just hope that someone from tplink will see this and realize that we are all humans not just "customers" and we should treat ourselves with respect and build that trust relationship as best as possible...

@StingJ Good day,
Thank you for being interested in tp-link oneMesh feature. Currently RE450 (EU) V4 supports oneMesh , but unfortunately RE450 V3 and previous versions do not. And so far we did not hear a plan for RE450 V3 oneMesh feature.
For the latest news about oneMesh, please always refer to One mesh Compatibility List on the TP-Link official website :
https://www.tp-link.com/onemesh/compatibility/
Kindly note that " Planned" or is not a guarantee for oneMesh feature and the Planned models might be updated and modified as the notice on the compatibility list.
As a presale suggestion, please consider the models that already support this feature.
Your understanding is much appreciated.

We are so sorry for the trouble caused here, and we totally understand your feeling and frustration. We will try our best to help you and give you a specific answer.
May I know when and where did you buy this RE450 V3?
Except the Onemesh feature, is there any other network requests about the extender? Like the ethernet port, the wireless speed or so?
Thanks for your kindly support and understanding in advance.
Good day.

Hello,
I bought it 1 month ago from Media Galaxy Romania.
I will have to check if you need the exact date...
The only reason for this was for the OneMesh feature. Nothing else. If it wasn't for OneMesh, I would have stayed with my older RE450 v1.

Hi,
Same here, I have one Archer C7 V5 which its compatible with OneMesh and have a RE500 V1 & a RE450 V3.
Now RE650 will be compatible with OneMesh but RE500 not (they have identical hardware according to fcc certification).
RE450 V3 dissappear from the list and appear new RE455 V1 which looks like RE450 in the picture.
So it seems that if we want to have an extender compatible with OneMesh, we would have to pay for the new...
Do you have any solution in mind for this @Kevin_Z?
Greetings

Hello, from the compatbility list, the RE500 is not included, and considering the date for firmware with onemesh for RE450 V3 has been postponed, it has been withdrawn from the compatibility list to avoid potential loss.
And the RE455 is not ready for Onemesh now; instead, it is not available in the market now.
If you want to use the onemesh feature, you can contact retailer whether you can return the RE500/RE450 and get a RE300, RE205 or so.
May it help.

Hi,
So RE500 will not get OneMesh feature in the future?, to be more concrete, RE500 will NEVER get OneMesh feature?
You have and ETA for RE455 availability?
Because I don't want to buy a RE450 now and in one or two months see RE455 in the market...
Best regards,

As listed in the compatibility list, the RE500 won't support Onemesh; while the marketing plan varies as time goes by, we cannot guarantee that it will NEVER support Onemesh, but at now, it won't.
And to use the onemesh feature, it is suggested to order those devices which support Onemesh already.
Good day.

I satisfying solution to this would be to give back the money to all the clients that you cheated. In this way, maybe, next time you think twice before you take stupid decisions and lie on your clients.
It is totally unacceptable for a company to do such things.

RE450 is my fifth and last device from TP-Link. Purchased together with the MR600, it now mainly serves as a paperweight. I feel cheated! No more shopping with TP-Link!
