Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200827 Rel. 40928

Hello,

I just bough Archer AX10 with the intention to use the 5G network with some of my devices(2 phones, 2 laptops) and the rest(vacuum, purifier, humidifier, tv stick etc.) to remain at 2.4ghz.

The setup went fine and everything looked fine for a couple of hours until the 5G went down and was undescoverable. A reboot fixed the issue. I thought its due to my continuos roaming through the settings in Tether. But in a while again the 5G network went down. I set a scheduled reboot each night in order to avoid such disruptions but the problem still persist. Each day the 5G network is going down once or twice.

I've read similar topics in for other routers but could not find a solution. :( THat's why i'm rising new thread.

Looking forward your soonest reply

@IvanPavlov

Hello, thanks for reporting the issue to the community.

Just to confirm, when you mean the 5G went down, does it mean the 5G signal just disappears on the AX10 and no devices can see it? Or they failed to connect to it even though they can still see it? Can I have the screenshot of the error message on the laptop or phone if the case is the latter?

How about the 5G signal strength, is it good enough for those devices to connect? Please try to modify the 5G wireless settings on the AX10, such as the wireless channel and channel width, then confirm if the connection is more stable.

Are both the wired connection and 2.4G connection on the AX10 is stable?

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin_Z,

The 5G signal just dissapears and no device can see it. I dont have any error messages on my devices.

While working the signal strenght is Excellent. My Router is 2 to 5 max meters away from each of my devices.

I dont have any wired connection. I didn't have any 2.4G connection stability issues so far.

5G channel and channel width are both set on "Auto", Mode: 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed

@IvanPavlov

Can you please try to change the channel to 36/48, change the channel width to 40MHz or 80MHz to monitor again?

BTW, how many devices are connected to the AX10 most of the time? How many devices connected to the 2.4G?

@Kevin_Z ,

I have changed from Auto to 44 Channel and from Auto to 40GHz the 5G network and start monitor for issues.

Most of the time 8 devices are connected to the AX10. I use the 5G only for my 2 phones and 2 laptops.

Every other device such as vacuum, purifier, tv stick, watch is connected to the 2.4G

@Andres1988

Hi, have you tried my previous suggestions to IvanPavlov?

BTW, please check and ensure you are running the latest official firmware on your AX10:

@Andres1988

What is the current firmware version of your Archer AX10, and what channel and channel width have you tried?
