Hi, thanks for asking.
May I know what is this 192.168.1.4 device? Is it a NAS? Is this 6281 port correct? Please ensure you entered the correct Internal port number that used for the specific service, this cannot be set randomly.
Please also ensure you can access this NAS locally, you may confirm this by accessing the NAS from another PC or phone connected to the VR1600v network.
If this is working, please then check if there is any firewall or anti-virus on this NAS, which may block the remote access.
Good day.

@Kevin_Z Hello,
Thanks for the reply. To answer your questions, yes it is a NAS, and the port is correct. It is used for "Hyper Backup" which uses port 6281. I am able to access the NAS locally and I've also attempted it with turning off all the protection from the NAS

Have you confirmed this with your ISP that if they blocked some specific ports on their side? This should be happening.
BTW, who is your ISP? Are you using this VR1600v as a DSL modem router? What if you try to open some other ports on it, are they also tested to be closed?

@Kevin_Z Yeah I called TPG and they said that no ports were being blocked. I've tried other ports and they seem to work. Not too sure why 6281 is the only one that remains blocked

Hello, thanks for getting back.
If that is the case, we think there might be some limitation on the ISP side, while they don't tell you.
Anyway, we will escalate your case to our engineers, will see if they have some way to figure it out, please check your email box and respond, thanks.
