Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.16.0 0.9.1

I want to make a IPSec VPN from several MR6400 routers to a R600VPN server. It works if I set R600VPN as initiator, but I need that MR6400 act as initiator because the ip given by the mobile operator is behind a NAT, so isn't public. Is there any way to set the MR6400 as IPSec initiator? I know that from V5 hardaware version, TP Link have eliminated IPSec VPN option. Other brands have a functional VPN togheter with the 4G router. What is the option with TP Link, using two routers 4G and VPN for each location?

@marcoahp

Good day.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Sorry for the delay.

If the IPsec VPN initiator is behind the NAT, you could consider requesting the public IP address via a different APN account from the SIM card carrier;

Or open the related ports for IPsec VPN connection on the SIM card carrier, such as UDP 500,4500;

Thanks a lot.
