Model: Archer C20  
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: Build 200526

Hi, I brought c20 router just 3 days ago and it was in the stock firmware which was Archer C20(US)_V5_181213

Firmware version:0.9.1 4.16 v0001.0 Build 181213 Rel.556n

Hardware version:Archer C20 v5 00000005


but i saw that it has a new upgrade is available for this router and i upgrade

Firmware version:0.9.1 4.17 v0001.0 Build 200526 Rel.70733n(5553)

Hardware version:Archer C20 v5 00000005

it but after upgrading the router i faced some issues like 2.4g network goes unstable so i want to back on the stock firmware so please help me out. Thank you.

Hi, the newer version actually improved the software performance.

 

However, if you want to downgrade to the previous version, you may refer to the below guide:

@Kevin_Z Sir, You said this firmware just upgrade the software stability nothing related with the hardware, then what's your thought in it? Should i keep the upgraded version? I already tried to downgrade the firmware by your following guide but it says the device is unsupported or something like that i can't remember what i saw. I mean i can't downgrade but is there any tweak that i can do in this new firmware and make it stable and even better again?

Hello,

 

You may try to change the 2.4GHz wireless settings like wireless channel and channel width, you can change the channel to 1/6/11, the channel width can be 20MHz, then monitor again.

 

There are possibly other wireless parameters that need tweaking, such as Power Transmit, narrow or wide band, etc. but start with the above and below link:
