New router not performing as expected
Hi there,
Completely new to this.
I have just purchased a new VR2800 router as an upgrade from my ISP provided router (Plusnet) I have connected it/installed as per the given instructions but the Internet connection and speed is now worse. Both my wife and I work from home so rely on the Internet to be connected and running as intended, we also have both our smartphones connected and an Nvidia Shield TV box which have also showed connection issues and major buffering which didn't happen with old router.
I would love any and all help please to get this router performing to its maximum. Thank you very much for reading hope you're all safe and hope to hear back soon
Kind regards

Welcome!
Let me check some details first:
The issue you have is slow speed and buffering connection during steaming the video?
If yes, please refer to the following suggestions:
- Change the wireless channels on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz:https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2292/
- Change the DNS server to be 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4;
- If the firmware is not the latest, please update to the latest firmware: ArcherVR2800(EU)_V1_200710
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202007/20200717/Archer_VR2800(EU)V1_200710.zip
Just in case the problem still here, please also help us check the following information:
Who is your internet service provider?
Can I have a picture of the status page on the modem?
If you run a speed test via www.speedtest.net, how much speed you can get?
Thank you!

Good day.
Sorry for the delay.
Did you export the configuration file on the mode to see since I failed to open it?
Have you tried the suggestions mentioned in the last thread?
If you are not able to send the pictures here, you could send an email to support@tp-link.com with subject# Forum 224008 New router not performing as expected;
Thank you very much!
