Model: RE650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Latest 2019

Hi there,

I has two RE450 extending my wireless networl, and I decided to upgrade in order to expand my coverage even further.

I swapped one fo the RE450 for an RE650, however it did not let the internet get thrrough. I am able to connect them, but without internet access.

I tried Router - RE650 - RE450, and it did not work, then swapped and tried Router - RE450 - RE650 and it did not work either.

I tested with two RE450's or two RE650's and it worked, but not mixed.

I mean  Router -> RE450 -> RE450, or Router ->RE650 -> RE650 and works fine

Are those two models nos compatible between them? or am I missing something on my setup?

Thanks!

@Ricardo_NE

Sorry, we suggest you connect both range extenders to the main router instead of connecting one to the other and the RE450 is not compatible with the RE650.

If you need more than 2 range extenders, please take TP-Link Deco devices into your consideration. Click here to know more about Deco.

@Solla-topee

Mmm, so there is no way to make the mix of RE450 and RE650 work together to extend my network?

How about RE450 and RE305, would that work?

Nope, RE450 and RE305 are not compatible.
