Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 Build 20190726 rel.57101

Hi

I have just installed this C7 router via Tether mobile app version 3.3.25 connecting directly to provider router with dynamic IP to it and creating an wifi network in archer c7. No problem at all.

But today I have just received 3 DECO P9 and i try to install it and i haven't clear enough how to put them in one mesh network because fron Tether App fron onemesh when one Deco P9 is blinking in blue it doesn't recognize for archer... it's the same i put an ethernet wire connected to archer as if i don't connect it via ethernet.

In fact, if I try to introduce DECO P9 app and connected with my to link user it's not possible to detect archer c7.

Please tell me if it's really possible to connect C7 v5.0 with DECO P9 as you say in web because I have in this moment serious doubts about it. And in this case I'll be to return all those products now.

I have an c7 v3.0 as other c2 archer in bridge mode and I have just spent some money about establish an onemesh network with archer c7 v5.0 and 3 DECO P9 to have range extender wifi for all my home with 4 floors and several walls.

Thanks in advance and waiting for your reply

Snorre

@Snorre The Mesh technology (that is supported by Deco) and OneMesh (supported by C7) is a different thing. Although I agree that the name may be misleading. You may not be able to achieve what you want with C7 and Deco.

However, I have just started a thread with some findings that may be interesting for you: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/209474?page=1. It looks like you need to have just one OneMesh device (for example C7) and ANY access point/router set to AP mode in order to have mesh network.
