Model: Deco E4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20190910 Rel. 66772

Hi all,

I got some problems with my newly purchased Deco E4R and I have existing M5 currently on the network.

After adding both E4 to the network, I immediately updated the firmware as prompted on Deco App (1.1.0 Build 20190823 Rel. 43466)

Both successfully updated and one of the E4s can't work in 5Ghz band. So, I checked for the latest version that's availble in my country which is Indonesia. Can be found here https://www.tp-link.com/id/support/download/deco-e4/#Firmware

Then I manually updated both E4s to 1.1.0 Build 20190910 Rel. 66772, but now both E4s just working as single band (2.4Ghz only). This is so fustrating and I don't know what to do now to make them both to work in dual band.

Before: 1.1.0 Build 20190823 Rel. 43466 Global Version

Now: 1.1.0 Build 20190910 Rel. 66772 ID Version

Thank you

Updates:

Now they deleted the firmware file which I downloaded from https://www.tp-link.com/id/support/download/deco-e4/#Firmware.

Here is the file before it got deleted on Indonesia's official website https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o_kX27K0CAW5rIj9wUvNRIftycW3zoKn/view

@moyunk

May I know what is the hardware and firmware version of the Deco M5? Please check the country version of the Deco M5 as well, it is printed on the back panel, next to the model number.

With Deco E4 unplugged, can you detect the TP-Link 5GHz network?

Besides, what band of your wireless device supports? Like band 1 ( 36-48) or band 4 ( 149-165) ?

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

Hi @Kevin_Z thanks for your reply. Finally!

1. It's printed US/1.1 on the back of my M5 Deco and F/W 1.3.14 Build 20191109 Rel. 66552 currently installed M5 F/W.

2. Yes and No. My iMac and MBP can't detect the the 5Ghz but my iPhone can.

3. It's band 4 ( 149-165)

Thank you soo much!
