Model: AC50
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: Archer C50(EU)_V4_190125

Hello All,

I am unable to use 5GHz with Archer C50 router. It always shows disabled even after enabling 5GHz together with 2.4GHz or without. I even downgraded the firmware but it doesn't solve the problem. I have no idea what else to try more.

Please share your suggestions.

Thank you!

Be sure your device supports 5 GHz. Try a different channel and channel width.

@NitinKumar

Please ensure that the 5GHz has been enabled and the wifi led comes on.

You can change another channel to verify whether it can be detected.

Besides, you can hard reset it and find whether you can see it.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z

I have done hard reset, I also upgraded and then downgrade and I changed the channel number and width. In every case the leds for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Bands lite up but the status always shows disabled. I tried enabling only 5 GHz but it doesn't work either though led lite up.

Maybe it is a bug or maybe it is faulty unit.

My problem is solved. The 5Ghz band came to life of its own after some days when I posted this problem. I don't know what may have caused the problem and what may have revive it of its own.
