Hi

I have a VR2800 connected via the LAN4/WAN socket to a Virgin Media Modem Hub 3.  Connectivity works abolsutely fine but I have noticed that my speed significantly reduces when I have parental controls active.  Running a speed test without parental controls on I am getting around 360Mbps - however with Parental controls on I only manage 200Mbps

Does anyone else have a similar issue and is there any way to overcome it.  I simply use partental controls to restrict access and certain times of day across my childrens devices - I don't need to filter the content.

Any ideas?

per my knowledge, the parental control won't affect the performance of the router. you may post the screenshots of the speed test with parental control on and off separately and the parental control settings there so that we can fix it.

I am having the same problem. When parental control is on, I only get ~100 mpbs. Without parental controls, it goes up to 400 mbps. I have a Archer C2300 v1.0

On my AX6000 and parental controls active my kids' computers get up to 980 Mbit on a Gigabit internet connection via LAN cable.

Exactly! I have a VR1600v v2. With parental control turn OFF, I am able to consistently obtain ~230-270Mbps download speed. With parental control turn ON, I get only ~50-60Mbps and it is consistent. It will require at least a firmware fix I think.
