Remotely access WAP

I have a TL WA801ND to which is connected a wi-fi sprinkler system which loses connection. The WA801ND is connected via an ethernet cable to my Modem/router, a TD W9977. I wish to have the facility to remotely access and review the DHCP Client list on the WA810ND at the time of one of this connection losses. Am I able to do that? The instructions to access the W9977 remotely are clearly explained in the set-up guide, but I am at a loss how to remotely access the WA801ND through the W9977 from a remote site. Or is this wishful thinking?
