C8 V1 router crashes every week or so

Hi, i have a C8 V1 router (updated to latest firmware - EU)
The router crashes every week or so - meaning: I'm unable to enter the router administration via direct IP or external using WAN access.
Sometimes the router keeps on working (WAN to LAN access as well as port forwarding) but a few times i've experienced that the internet access is completely dead.
Rebooting the router solves the issue until next occurrence.

I have a Lenovo T420 which coincidentally also crashes every now and then and have been wondering if there is a connection between these incidents - much like in the other thread.
I'm an IT Professional (Engineer) and is able to supply debug info if needed.
