@Dekel Please try to simplify the topology by disconnecting the D-Link switch as some D-Link switches have been verified destroying the Ethernet Backhaul between Decos.

@TP-Link Deco

Once I replaced my old d-link switches with the new TP-Link's mentioned in my post everything worked as expected all with wired backhall.  Life is good when your covered in stable, consiustant Wi-Fi

Thankls you very much

Cheers

Alan

I knew you are going to say that.. and I completely disconnected the D-Link from the topology.

Still the problem remains.

@Dekel Seems strange. Firstly, could you try to wire the two Deco units directly to check if they can form an Ethernet connection?

If yes, then the issue could be narrowed down to the switch and Ethernet cable.

If it's a problem related to the switch, it's possible that the switch blocks the port that Deco connected to. Before Decos establish the Ethernet Backhaul connection, the two Deco are linked both via Wi-Fi Backhaul and Ethernet connection, which may be regarded as a network loop by the switch. Therefore, the switch may block the Ethernet connection between the two Decos. You can try to check that and disable the network loopback detection on the port that Decos are connected to.

It seems to be faulty cable wire.

I replaced my cable in the wall and now it seems to work.

Thanks

Dekel.

P.s. is there a cable length restrictions?

Thanks SamyKn for the image of the new firmware Can anyone say what the image should look like if Ethernet backhaul is working? Instead of the WiFi symbol should there be something else? Even better if someone could post an image of a working Ethernet backhaul on the new firmware.

Thanks Dekel. So no symbol means Ethernet backhaul is working. Good to know.

Have you got the latest firmware? Were the issues occurring before the new firmware?
