Model : Archer C7 AC1750

Hardware Version : v2

Firmware Version : latest US version

ISP : KT (Korea)

Last week I got 500mbps internet to my home (in Korea), however my TP Link Archer C7 router seems to be limiting the download speed to 120Mbps. Upload is fine at 300Mbps. The internet guy came round and also tested and confirmed the router is the problem.
My setup is simple and is "wall - router - ps3". I've bypassed the router using an old macbook (wall - old macbook) and got 300mbps upload and download. When I tested the wired connection through the router, it was 120mbps download and 300mbps upload. 5GHz Wifi on my newer macbook is similar at 120mbps download, 300 upload, with 2.4GHz being slower.
I've contacted support, but so far nothing they have suggested has worked. I've upgraded the firmware, disabled hardware NAT, disabled UPnP, changed wifi channels, factory reset, disabled IGMP proxy...but nothing works. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

You can try to adjust the MTU size(under WAN menu) to a lower value.
It's usually 1480 or 1500 by default, you can change it to 1400 for a try.

Thank you for your reply. I tried that but unfortunately it had no effect.

I've sent the router back to the seller. Hopefully he can fix the issue.
