Model : Archer D2

Hardware Version Archer D2 v1 00000001

Firmware Version : 0.8.0 1.2 v003e.0 Build 150921 Rel.39523n

ISP :

Modem ip: !92.168.1.1
Archer D2 ip: 192.168.0.1

I recently changed my internet connection to a new one, and now I'm having double nat issues. If I try and disable dhcp on the archer d2, it becomes impossible to connect to it, even though the wifi continues visible. Also, if I try and change the routers ip to 192.168.1.xxx it gives me Error code: 5003 Then LAN IP should not be in the same subnet with WAN IP.

So I should plug the modem on a LAN port instead of WAN?

I can't change it right now because family is using it. I'll change it later and get back to you. Thanks for the replies.

I tried changing the router to dsl modem but this way I have no internet at all. And if I try to change its ip to any 192.168.1.XXX adress, I get error 5003.

You said that you 'have a modem from your ISP and Archer D2 you want to set up like an AP, right? I gave you configuration
Modem ip: !92.168.1.1 (without changes)
Archer D2 ip: 192.168.1.254 and DHCP Disable.

You have to connect devices LAN to LAN

You first need to remove the IP 192.168.1.x of the WAN subnet before you can set an IP from this subnet to the LAN network. Otherwise you will get the error "WAN IP address and LAN IP address cannot be in a same subnet." (although this is usually error 5008, not 5003).

To remove the IP from the WAN subnet:
If your WAN uses static IP, remove it before changing IPs for the LAN (just select dynamic address, apply it and proceed further).
If your WAN uses dynamic IP (DHCP), pull the cable from the WAN port, restart your router and then configure the LAN port.

The only way I managed to get the router on a 192.168.1.XXX address was by resetting it to factory settings. Everything I tried didn't work at all. Even disconnecting the modem and turning the router off/on, resulted in error 5003. At least now its working as AP.

Thank you very much for the responses. Tp Link should definitely add an Bridge or AP mode for simplicity sake.
