WR802n Nano v2 no longer connecting to PC
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Greetings.
When I first got my WR802n Nano some 3 weeks ago, I had no problems configuring it in Client Mode (I'm essentially using it as a wireless NIC). I then powered everything off for two weeks (going away, Christmas, etc.)
When I came back and powered everything on again, it would no longer talk to the PC. (I kept getting the IP 169.254.147.203, which a Google search points to the PC not getting an IP from DHCP). After trying several things (including rebooting everything several times), I decided to reset it to factory default, and was going to start from scratch. This, however, does not seem to have done anything. I have tried everything I can think of to connect to the device to reconfigure it without luck. My DSL modem seems to see it as 192.168.0.24, and I can ping that IP address, but nothing more.
So, why did it not power up correctly (nothing had been disconnected), why does it not seem to be resetting, and (most importantly), how do I get it reconfigured and functioning properly again?
TIA
Rainer
