Firmware Version : TL-PA7020P(EU)_V1_160730

Hello,

Can I pair a TL-PA4020P with [COLOR=#333333]two TL-PA7020P? I bought the [COLOR=#333333]TL-PA4020P kit, but [COLOR=#333333]I wanted to upgrade the speed on two ends so I got a TL-PA7020P. At the beggining the were working fine, but once I've upgrade the old firmware on the 7020, there's only communication between the 4020 and the two 7020. The two 7020 can communicate without issues after the update. For firmware version TL-PA7020P(EU)_V1_160730 and TL-PA7020P(EU)_V1_160218 the is no communication between the two different models, thought for TL-PA7020P_KIT_V1.0_150623_KIT_V1.0_150623 there is communication.

Can I solve this somehow?

Thanks.

That sounds like something you would address TP-Link Support for. User forum can hardly solve that.

can I ask you if after updating the f/w on that 4020P you still get the QCA7420-1.1.0.844-01-20120919-FINAL instead of the QCA7420_v1.1.0-01 844_TL-PA4020P_20140208 as per the firmware's name? In other words does it really update or does it still claim that the f/w upon update is the same as the original one that it shipped with?

Thanks for the swift reply, much appreciated. So I guess something's wrong with my pair since I can't get the f/w to update on either one of them.. :/

No matter what app I'd use, either the new or the old I'd get the exact same end result..The app would call it a success and on the next screen I would still get the 2012 firmware. In any case I managed to get it to update using a 4th computer on a VirtualPC virtual machine so I guess there must have been something wrong with all (!!?) my setups so far?
