That is my main issue. Upstairs I have the D7 connected over ethernet to several devices. Downstairs I have a PoE switch that is connected firstly to the AP and secondly to a DVR
and several cctv cameras. I tried connecting the AP downstairs wirelessly to the D7 ADSL modem upstairs, but failed constantly. I have tried nearly all modes available in that AP. Be
it Client, Universal Repeater, AP and bridge with AP. At best case scenario, the DVR that is connected to the switch was available from the D7 ADSL modem upstairs, but could not
see the internet, nor was it accessible externally (from the internet). Despite all the virtual servers and port forwarding I had arranged in my D7 ADSL modem. I give IPs statically from
the D7 to all devices based on their mac address.

I think that either this is impossible or I just have to set my Gateways properly.

Currently those are as follows:
Archer D7 (ADSL modem): IP: 192.168.1.1 - Subnet: 255.255.255.0 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (I am forced to give a Gateway address here)
TL-WA901ND AP: IP: 192.168.1.33 - Subnet: 255.255.255.0 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1
PoE Switch: IP: 192.168.1.60 - Subnet: 255.255.255.0 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DVR connected to the Switch: IP: 192.168.1.40 - Subnet: 255.255.255.0 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1

The network topology resembles this:

All the firmwares are the latest as of this post and the TL-WA901ND is v4 hardware wise. With the investment I have had in TP Link I think getting this to work is a priority, unless it is impossible.

Thank you in advance,
