alright i think i'm on the verge of maybe knowing what's wrong with it after spending the past 3 days finally trying to fix it
here's my problem
i'm unable to connect in nat type 1 on my ps4 via using my ipppoe user/pass i keep getting a nw-31268-0 when i'm using my archer d9 1900 to connect to it, i can connect via type 2 without manually putting the ippoe user/pass but doing that will make me unable to host a game for me and my friends. and neither of my friends can host since their not type 1 nat either.
I have an old belkin router 2008, i'm able to get nat type 1 easily just without any hassle when i plug that in, but for the archer d9 i have no idea what it is, i've tried tweaking almost every possible setting i could find, ( nat type 1 connects directly with the modem hence why i'm able to host)
Tried disabling all alg/ tried disbaling firewalls/ igmp snooping, turned on and off Full-cone NAT etc various options but no luck
even dmz via static ip did not work with getting the ps4 i was still getting nat type 2 , and i'm unable to login via nat type one i keep getting the the ps4 error
which was very fishy
i came across these post that may be key to it.. fixing it in a possible future firmware update?
http://falcon-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=508.0 ( strangely on my archer d9 i don't have those address mapping settings so i'm not sure, although i did toy with the condition pool but no luck getting it to work : (
i have another tp link router that's w8951nd which has the same intereface as above i might try it out tommorow when i wake up as i need sleep atm..
oh and as for my w8951nd it's the same issue i get the same ps4 error NW-31268-0 Error
