Hi guys,

I know it sounds crazy but hear me out. I have a 841N router that I bought in Hungary which works well with any of my devices (iPads, iPhone 4/5/5s) except one, the iPhone 6s. So this is what happens:

If I open the browser on my 6s and I start browsing the first 1-2 pages load up just fine. But usually the 3rd or 4th pages starts to load but they never reach the actual page. The device is still connected to the Wi-Fi, I can see the indicator, but nothing is coming trough. Safari says "the connection was lost". Then after a few minutes it's fine again for a few pages but the same circle starts again.

If that matters the 6s was bought in the USA, but that shouldn't be a problem because my 5s was bought there as well and that works perfectly on the same Wi-Fi network provided by the 841N.

I've tested the 6s on other routers (ASUS/Linksys) it works well with those so I guess the phone is fine. (But those routers have other issues so I prefer the TP-Link)

Any idea guys? :\

Do you have DNS addreses entered in DHCP Settings on the router?

It was the default 0.0.0.0, but I just tried with these:

Primary:
62.77.203.10
Secondary:
213.163.34.66
(These were given by the ISP)

The result is the same. First 1-2-3 pages are fine then infinite loading again. (6s only, iPad is fine with this DNS too)

Have you tested different encryptions (AES, TKIP) and network speed?

Hi,

I have IP6+841 devices also, and I had this type of issue. the iOS upgrade caused this issue. If I remember right, the 9.0 has this unwanted "feature".

Not yet. I've tested with AES and it was fine with other routers. Are the TP-Link guys reading this? I'm not sure this can be solved on the user side. Every setting (Channel, Speed, Encryption, Security etc) is same as on other routers but the 841N is the only one that doesn't work with 6s. This looks more like a firmware issue for me. (But I'm not an expert)

Sorry I don't have S6 and I can't verify your arguments. I have a few Samsung phones in my network and they work very good with TP-Link router.

Please report it here - http://ticket.tp-link.com/index.php?/Core/Default/Index

The software upgrading solved the issue. My iphone uses 9.2 iOS now.
