The missing 5Ghz channels are not a bug but by design due to the router not supporting DFS

1. CRC error reporting did not work in firmware prior to 150826. CRC errors now shown in 150826 undoubtedly existed in older firmware, but were not displayed.
2. 150826 has issues with wifi bandwidth connection stability, 5GHz channel control, etc.
3. Patiently awaiting new bug-free firmware, non-EU.

Firmware 160303 has reappeared. Is this different too the last one that was pulled?? I'm guessing not. But if it is has anyone tried it to see if it addresses any of the previous firmware problems?

I'm currently sticking with 150514.

We have tried the 160303 firmware. Some bugs are fixed, but several others have been introduced (such as no WiFi 5GHz channels above 46). TP Link seems to have some serious firmware problems with the D7 and the D9. We are waiting for improvements. I would stay with the older firmware for the moment. The "EU" versions are not helpful.

I'm reliably informed by forum user Sparks that the firmware that has reappeared is identical to the previous 030316 that was puller by TP-Link.

Not sure whats going on but they really need to get their act together.

Spend more time fixing firmware and less on website rebranding please.

160115 was buggy as well. TP Link pulled it very quickly.

There quite a few TP Link modems and routers using the same basic firmware, with the same basic bugs. Hard to understand why TP Link can't get its act together and fix its firmware.

After reading some threads and searching a safe way to roll back the firm, I installed Build 160303.

No errors by now.

160303 locks the D9 to TP Link's intended EU certification. (WiFi channels, power restrictions, etc.) It is known to have most of the previous bugs and has been recently withdrawn from distribution. All we can do is wait for fixed firmware. If you are not in an EU country, then TP Link should provide updated firmware for your region.
