Model : Archer C9

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : 3.17.0 Build 20150514 Rel.70681n

ISP :

Hello,

I have just received a new Archer C9 router (v1; bought at Amazon).
I configured it with two wireless networks, one at the 2.4Ghz band (named "TP-LINK"), and the other one at the 5Ghz band (named "TP-LINK_5G").
Some of my devices (Nexus 5 & Nexus 6) indeed identify both networks, but almost all other devices do not identify the 5Ghz network at all (those devices include a macbook pro, samsung galaxy s6, playstation 4, moto x, and more).
I am using default settings, that is, the 5Ghz network is configured at mode "11a/n/ac mixed", where channel and channel width are set to "auto".

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Yehuda

My firmware is most updated. This doesn't help, 5Ghz network is still invisible to most devices.

Which firmware version do you use now?

Try to set manually the channel number and bandwidth...

Thanks, changing the channel number to one of the lower numbers indeed solved this problem.
