Model :

Hardware Version : WDR3600 v1
Firmware Version : wdr3600v1_en_3_14_1_up_141022
ISP :

Hello,
I have a WDR 3600 with the latest official firmware on it, the two Android devices I am trying to connect to it, both connect at a 72 mbps link speed, one is my phone, another is a tablet.

I take the phone with me at work where I have another brand of router, the phone connects at a link speed of 150 mbps. Attached screenshot from at work:

On the WDR I have tried all kind of combinations of settings, including:

Channel Width 40 and N only, nothing changes.

Can you suggest a fix or is this normal behavior ?

Thanks!

Upgrade latest firmware(TL-WDR3600_V1_150518) first.
http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/TL-WDR3600_V1.html#Firmware

After upgrade, reset and reconfigure it(channel width 40MHz). If the problem continues, provide model number of wireless card on your andoid devices.

On Status page of WDR3600, the firmware is 141022 or 150518?
You provided wrong info on #1?

It is Okay~
Encryption on wireless security page is AES, right?
Provide model number of wireless card on your phone and tablet.
Did you change any other wireless settings?

Yes, it's AES and no other changes made. As for my phone adapter, I don't think it matters as long as it connects just fine with other routers.

The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU with built-in wifi as described here https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/400

And the wifi module is Qualcomm VIVE™ 802.11ac

Can you update driver of the wireless card on your phone?
Any other wireless clients like a laptop or tablet which gets a normal speed?
The router is a brand new one? Did you reset and reconfigure it(channel width 40MHz)?
Maybe it is faulty router.

No, I don't think it is faulty, I tried with a laptop which connects to 150 mbps and the actual transfer speed is 80 mbps tested with ookla.

It's most likely the Android devices adapters issues.

This can be closed now, TP-LINK support visited my router and we agreed it's a compatibility issue.
