A few days ago my router developed a problem where internet access for a wired LAN computer stops at random, the computer can still access all LAN devices but cannot connect to any external website, the only fix is to reboot the router, this is having worked flawlessly since December when I bought it.

I bought this to replace a 14 month old TL-WR1043ND V1 which developed the exact same issue which I read was a common problem but has now happened on this V2 as well, at the moment it is disconnecting a computer once or twice a day, my previous V1 started like this but developed to multiple (5/6) times a day before I replaced it.

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

Upgrade the latest firmware, reset and reconfigure your WR1043ND.

If the problem continues, check if you can login web interface of WR1043ND you cannot access internet. How about staus of all lights on its front panel?

Thank you I'll update to the new firmware and see how it goes, when the problem happens I can access the web interface fine (that's how I've been rebooting it) and all status lights look normal.

I was wondering if Flood protection under Advances Security could be a reason this is happening?
